V-Day

Hear Us Cry: Benefit Concert in Honor of Victims of Human Tracking

On Friday, February 13 from 7-8:30pm Devi Vaani will perform a benefit concert to raise money for SAGE (Standing Against Global Exploitation)  a survivor-led organization that works to eradicate human trafficking. The singing/songwriting trio will perform original pieces decrying violence against woman and calling upon the redemptive, empowering presence of the Divine Feminine.  Requested donation $10-25, all of which will go directly to SAGE. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Divine Dance of Protest-

One Billion Rising

On Valentine’s Day (Saturday, February 14) from 3-5 p.m. (followed by a potluck), we will join with ONE BILLION people across the globe in protest of violence against women and girls around the world and in solidarity with the Divine Feminine. Our prayers will be moved, sung and shared with each other in this sacred space and in caring of the global community to heal this deep wound inflicted on women and children by others.

She Lives!

Workshop and Book Reading with

Author Jann Aldredge Clanton

On Sunday morning, February 15, following our Liturgy of the Divine Feminine, Author and Feminist Theologian Jann Aldredge Clanton will lead a story-writing workshop followed by a book reading and signing of her most recent work, “She Lives: Sophia Wisdom Works in the World,” available through Skylight Press, Amazon and for sale at this event. This book includes the stories of ministers and laypeople driving foundational Christian theological change, restoring sacred value to women and girls, transforming faith communities and the wider culture. In a world filled with injustice and violence, people long for a new sacred symbolism to inspire transformation. This yearning includes a widespread hunger for female images of Deity—Wisdom, Ruah, Mother Hen, Mother Eagle, God-She, and more—in church life and worship to restore gender-balance in order to bring wholeness, justice, and peace.
