meets in the Gallery Annex March 26 at 12:15 PM. TOPIC: “Food, Health and Happiness” by Oprah Winfrey. She is, perhaps, the most famous woman in the world. Her rise from poverty in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to billionaire media magnate is the stuff of legend. Winfrey offers delicious and healthful recipes, along with some side servings of heartfelt personal stories. NOTE: You might want to try out a recipe on the discussion group (but not a requirement) Books available. Soup will be available during the discussion. Also you can come and just “listen” if that is more your cup of tea!

The Liturgy will include the Dixieland Dykes a 6 piece “New Orleans-Style” swing band. There will be a mini concert and dance-along at the end of worship. GODDESS PAINTING CLASS
third Sundays, 12:45-3:45pm at herchurch
$25 for herchurch folks, $35 for others
This class will enable you to approach painting in a prayerful, sacred practice, overcoming the inner critic to create a personal, sacred icon!
Katie Ketchum, trained in Shiloh Sophia’s Color of Woman method, will provide instruction based on this powerful technique and guide us in writing chants from our paintings, and Jennifer Mantle, well versed in the method and in holding sacred space, will help create a container in which participants can feel safe to play, grow and explore!
There will also be an optional, free online Goddess Painting Sanctuary on Facebook for participants to share about the goddess we are communing with, connect with each other, and share their process. Painting technique will be taught in person during class, with additional tutoring available from Katie by arrangement.

Sessions are the third Sunday of each month, 12:45pm-3:45pm in the Art Womb at herchurch, 678 Portola Dr. SF. Supplies are included, however, you may wish to bring a snack, a bigger canvas (small canvases provided), any favorite brushes and a journal.

EVERY WEDNESDAY, the sanctuary is open from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Goddess rosary beads are available for use during that time. Printed versions of the prayers and meditations will be on hand as well as incense, oils, candles and bells. Community spoken Goddess Rosary is conducted at 7:15 and 7:45 PM. You may come and go as you wish, and use the prayer stations at any time.
Embodied/ Movement Rosary every 1st Wednesday with Judith Lavender Dancer.
ROSARY MAKING every 3rd Wednesday at 8:05 – 9:15 PM. Beads and instructions provided. (very easy! and fun!) ASL available uponrequest.
EACH FIRST SUNDAY we have an ASL (Sign Language) Interpreter available for our worship service and other programs (upon request).

Writing from the Heart Mini- Retreat
Sunday,February 5, 12:30 to 4:30. The writing mini-retreat on Feb. 5 still has a spot left (the only way to reserve your spot is to pay for it!) and early registration ends on January 15. After that date, the cost will be $35 for the 12:30-4:20 p.m. retreat. Contact Lana at firstname.lastname@example.org. The retreat date honors Bridget, goddess of creativity and keeper of the well. Legend has it that Bridget was born on a threshold. Her feast day moves us toward spring equinox, toward the balance of light and dark and all the fertility that spring brings. Come on Feb. 5 and write with Bridget from the deep wellspring of your spirit and from your own threshold places. Guided visualization , writing prompts and sharing will inspire heart-centered writing. Facilitator-Guide is Lana Dalberg, Author/Freelance Writer/Activist.
